Unsnap both the closures at the shoulder seams of the top.
From the front, slide the sleeves up the arms of the wearer until the opening reaches their back (no lifting required).
Once the top is in place, pull the first panel across the back and snap it in place at the shoulder.
Now take the second panel, pull across, creating an overlap, and snap again.

The material used is excellent quality and velcro straps are large enough to keep the back closed through any amount of pull.

Answer to dressing difficulties

My mother suffers with dementia and Parkinsons so her limbs are stiff. It's been difficult for the staff at her nursing home to dress her. With these nightgowns and tops it is much easier for both the staff and my mother changing clothing. The gowns and tops are very pretty and I've chosen different styles and colors she likes.
